Spes Medica was founded in the 1999 and is a privately owned company.

The founder and President Mr. Francesco Lisi founded MEDITEC (in Parma -Italy- in 1978) a company which was a pioneer in the production of accessories for medicine.

In 1991 Meditec and ARBO Gmbh merged to offer a complete range of accessories in the Cardiology,Neurodiagnostic and Electrostimulation fields. In 1996 the company was sold to KENDALL-TYCO and continued  production in Germany and Italy. Mr. F.Lisi ran the Italian branch until February 2000. The company then moved from Parma and the Neurodiagnostic line was no longer  of interest for TYCO.

Some key people from Meditec including  the Q.C. -Financial- Operating manager -Products specialist-Commercial Director left the company to start a new venture continuing the production of  medical accessories.

Spes Medica was the name of the new company.
